Coastal addresses take a constant salt load off the ocean — Waianae, ‘Ewa Beach, Kailua and the North Shore all foul up faster than the island average. Inland and elevated neighbourhoods like Mililani and Wahiawa stay cleaner for longer, but catch more red dirt and pollen. Anywhere downwind of vog gets a fine acidic film that rain alone will not shift.
If you are somewhere with heavy tree cover or a known pigeon problem, birds will drive your schedule more than weather will — and that is usually a bird proofing conversation rather than a cleaning one.
